If you want to get in the best shape of your life, the first step is asking for help. Whether you have short or long-term objectives, a session with our passionate personal trainers will inspire, challenge and motivate you to achieve your goals.

Milena has been part of the C-Life family since July 2017. She specialises in Body Shaping, Fat Loss, Muscle Gain and has recently graduated with a Masters of Exercise Physiology.

We asked her some questions so that you can get to know her better.

What makes you stand out from other personal trainers in the industry?

I have recently graduated from university with a Masters of Exercise Physiology. I have interests in working with children with neurological disease and cardiac rehabilitation.

You grew up being a swimmer and playing water polo. Tell us about your key highlights and how this made you get into health & fitness?

I was team captain representing Sydney University in State and Nationals for water polo. I believe training from a young age taught me discipline, teamwork and developed my fitness and love for exercise. Also growing up, I have always looked up to women who are strong physically and mentally, and that is what I aspire to be.

How many times a week do you work out and what motivates you to keep working out?

I work out at least 5 times a week. I have gone through phases where I haven’t been to the gym in weeks and what I have learnt from that is setting mini weekly goals keeps you accountable and more motivated. I look at my workouts as “me time” to let loose of my worries and focus on improving my fitness, mood and self-esteem.

What is your favourite machine or equipment at C-Life?

My favourite piece of equipment is the barbell and I have a love hate relationship with squats.

Resistance or cardio, which do you prefer?

Resistance training all the way, though I do love a good circuit session with sprints and weights to fit some cardio in.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

Be present in the current moment. Try not to stress about what has happened or what may happen as we have no control over it.

Tell us something that people will only know once they get to know you better.

I have recently started practicing doing handstands, it’s my new obsession!

When you are not working, what do you like doing on your days off?

I enjoy trying new cafes and exploring lookouts in Sydney for a nice picnic overlooking the sunset.
