What’s your favourite and least favourite workout?

I really enjoy group fitness classes—there’s something motivating about the energy in the room, the music, and having an instructor guide you through the workout. It keeps me accountable and makes the time fly by. I’ve never really been a fan of lifting weights as I prefer movements that feels more dynamic and interactive.

What’s your favourite fitness quote or mantra that keeps you going?

“No pain, no gain!” It’s a classic for a reason!

How has your mindset about fitness changed since you started?

As you get older, staying active becomes less about aesthetics and more about longevity and quality of life. It’s about keeping the joints moving, staying flexible, and preventing the aches and pains that creep in with age. Movement really is medicine.

What’s the most unexpected benefit you’ve gained from working out that you didn’t anticipate?

I recently started doing Reformer Pilates, and I’ve been genuinely surprised by how quickly I’ve noticed the benefits. After just a couple of sessions, I’ve felt real relief in my lower back and hips—areas that have always been a bit problematic for me. I didn’t expect results to show up so soon, especially in terms of pain relief and mobility. It’s made me excited to keep going and see what other changes are around the corner!
