A SWEET SUCCESS: C-LIFE’S BIGGEST MORNING TEA RAISES OVER $4000 FOR CANCER COUNCIL
C-Life hosted their much-anticipated Biggest Morning Tea on Tuesday May 28 and results were nothing short of astounding with over $4,000 raised for Cancer Council Australia!
Approximately 140 people dropped by, making it one of C-Life’s “Biggest” Morning Tea’s to date. The club’s foyer was transformed into a mini morning tea shop with plenty of yummy goods on offer including a large variety of cakes, brownies, biscuits donated by Belmore Cakes, fresh pastries donated by All Seasons Bakehouse Belmore and savoury rolls, a fruit platter, juices, and tea and coffee.
Thanks to the collective efforts and generosity of hungry and supportive Members, visitors and staff, C-Life raised $2,055 in donations. In full support of this amazing initiative, the Board of Canterbury League Club donated an additional $2,000, bringing the final tally to $4,055.
All funds raised will be donated to Cancer Council Australia to help with cancer support, research and prevention – all vitally important missions as 1 in 2 Australians are diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85.
“C-Life is blown away by the positive response we received for our Biggest Morning Tea – we couldn’t have achieved this amazing success without the generosity of our members, supporters and staff!” said Arthur Siambis, General Manager of C-Life Health Club.
“It was heart-warming to see everyone come together to highlight such an important initiative and give back to our local community. We had several cancer survivors approach us with their stories which just brings home the amazing impact that we can achieve when we come together in fundraisers like this – thank you once again for your support!” said Arthur.
