- Your consistent attendance and group class participation has been outstanding. What keeps you motivated and driven to come to C-Life?
It’s such a great gym with wonderful instructors and the other patrons are all so inspirational. I am motivated because the gym brings out my “happy” and “positive” self. It sets me up for the day ahead and helps me unwind in the evenings.
- How has your training program changed over the last 2 years since becoming a member of C-Life and what is your current routine?
When I started at C-Life, we had just come out lockdown, and I felt aged and uninspired with my days. So, my husband and I tried the 7-day free pass, after we were given an extensive gym tour, and we became members on that same day!
When I train in the morning, I feel more positive, energised and inspired for the remainder of our day. However, if I do come in the evenings, I like to join the many group fitness classes available!
My favourites are mat Pilates, Pump and Reformer Pilates- and if I don’t have any social events planned, I like STEP classes on Fridays at 5:30pm. Group classes put me in a good frame of mind for the weekend ahead.
- How does exercise benefit your life outside of the gym?
I find I am a more positive and a less stressed person when I exercise. I also want to set a great example to my kids- that being active is a form of self-love and is not only good for the body but the mind too!
- What advice would you give to someone thinking about or just starting an exercise program?
You just have to do it! If you are nervous or unsure of where to start, joining in group fitness class is the way to go as you are welcomed by everyone around you. The instructors have a load of experience and are helpful in ensuring you understand the exercises.
