Q.1 What’s the most surprising change you’ve noticed in your fitness since starting?

What’s surprised me most is discovering that I feel stronger, fitter, and more empowered in my late 30s than I ever did in my 20s. It’s shown me that age doesn’t have to hold you back, it can be the time you unlock your best strength and fitness yet.

Q.2 What’s one healthy habit that came naturally, and one that took effort?

The healthy habit that came naturally was making the gym part of my routine straight after school drop-off, it quickly became a non-negotiable in my day. When you love something and are committed to improving, you always find a way to make it work. The habit that took more effort was learning how to fuel my body properly and understanding what to eat to maintain a lean physique while still building muscle gradually.

Q. 3 How do you balance training with everything else in your life?

With five children, balance is everything, and training has become such an integral part of my life that without it, I feel incomplete. It’s not just about fitness, it’s about connection and balance. I love training with my friends and sharing a coffee afterwards. It supports my mental wellbeing just as much as my physical health.

Q. 4 Which piece of equipment in the gym would you never want to live without?

The cable machine is the one piece of equipment I couldn’t live without. It’s so versatile, allowing me to work multiple muscle groups in different ways. I especially love the pull-up bar on there! There’s something about doing pull-ups that makes me feel powerful and strong, especially as a woman.
