Q.1 What’s the one thing about C-Life’s atmosphere that makes it like ‘home’ to you?

C-Life genuinely feels like a community. The staff are always welcoming and take the time to say hello, which makes a big difference. There’s also a really friendly atmosphere among the members—people encourage each other, have a chat, and it creates a positive environment to train in. It’s that sense of connection that makes it feel more like a second home than just a place to work out.

Q.2 We see the work you put in here, but what does ‘recovery’ look like for you these days? Is it a specific meal, or routine?

I’m a big fan of the steam room and usually spend time in it after every gym session—it really helps with recovery and loosening up my muscles. I don’t have a specific ‘go-to’ meal, but I make sure to eat something protein-rich after exercising to support my body. On top of that, I focus on getting plenty of sleep, which I’ve found makes a huge difference in how I feel day-to-day.

Q.3 What’s a hobby or skill you have outside of these walls that people here would be surprised to learn about? Does your gym strength help you with it?

I’m a keen cyclist, and most of my training at the gym actually revolves around supporting my cycling performance. I also have a love for music and play the drums—working out really helps with the stamina needed for longer sessions behind the kit. On top of that, I’m an avid cook, so I spend a fair bit of time experimenting in the kitchen when I’m not on the bike or at the gym.
