Welcome to the C-Life Team! Tell us a little about your career path into personal training, health, and fitness.

At the moment, I am studying a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science, and I’m currently entering my final year of the course. I’ve always had a passion for sport and exercise, so I recently decided to complete a Certificate in Fitness. I’m also in the process of finishing my Cert IV in Fitness, which will allow me to start personal training and eventually progress into other areas within the fitness industry.

What advice would you give to someone starting an exercise program for the first time?

Take it slow and focus on mastering the correct technique before increasing weights or the intensity of your workouts. At the beginning, it may feel like nothing is happening or that the program isn’t working, but if you stay committed and stick with it, the results will follow.

What’s the most underrated exercise in your opinion?

In my opinion, the trap bar deadlift is the most underrated exercise. It places more load on the quads and is excellent for developing strength and power. It’s particularly beneficial for athletes looking to improve their vertical jump or sprinting abilities, as it enhances overall force production.

What’s one skill or talent that people might not know about you?

I’m pretty good at drawing. I used to love art growing up, and I’d often get inspiration from pictures, drawing them in great detail—especially houses.

What’s something you’re excited to bring to the C-Life community that you feel will make a difference for the members here?

I’m excited to share the knowledge I’ve gained over my five years of training experience. I’m particularly eager to help individuals with sport-specific exercises and support those looking to take their athletic careers to the next level. I also look forward to offering advice to those who may be struggling with their exercise journey and need direction.
