STAFF SPOTLIGHT: CHASE

Posted on Wednesday, 30 April 2025

Welcome to the team, Chase – tell us a little about yourself.
What brought me to this area was my opportunity with the Bulldogs. I grew up playing rugby league all my life, and straight after I finished school, I moved to Melbourne for an opportunity. At the beginning of this year, the Bulldogs reached out to me and offered me to join their rugby league system, and I’ve now been here for two months.

How would you describe success in this new role that you have at C-Life?
My new role at C-Life has been great! I’m meeting new people and getting to learn more about the community and their fitness goals. I’m also learning more about the area of Belmore and everyone’s love for fitness around here.

How has your experience in rugby league influenced your approach to coaching or training?
My experience in rugby league has allowed me to have a different outlook on the way certain people need to train, based on their personal fitness needs.

For example, I’ve seen different programs for athletes who need to work on their plyometric training, strength training, or conditioning. This environment has helped me understand the different personal programs athletes need to achieve their goals based on their needs, which allows me to involve this in my programs.

I have also seen how different athletes respond to different exercises, as not everyone can achieve these exercises due to injury, and how to adapt and overcome those problems with alternative exercises.
