  1. What attracted you to becoming a Pilates teacher? What is it about Pilates that makes it different to other forms of exercise?

I had been practising Pilates for 8 years before deciding to learn further and enrol in my Reformer & Mat Pilates Certification. I was seeking a low impact form of movement that would help manage my lower back pain.

Previously, I worked in the corporate world in a sales role & travelling out on the road where I’d be sitting for long periods of time. I tried various Pilates studios and found it helped with my concerns.

I love the way it makes the joints and muscles feel – the best part is you can get a great workout and muscle burn without the high impact, and I love that it’s something you can do every day.

  1. How would you describe your teaching style and what can someone expect from your classes?

I teach an open-level classes suitable for all fitness levels, from beginner to advanced, using layers centred around Joseph Pilates original Contrology moves blended with a sprinkle of contemporary Pilates. Additionally, I love incorporating elements of strength training into my classes.

  1. What advice would you give to someone coming to Reformer Pilates for the first time?

Arrive for your first session early so we can show you around your Reformer, bring grip socks for safety, have an open mind & take each class one day at a time. It’s also a good idea to position yourself in the centre of the room so you can see everyone clearly around you and listen to the instructor for options with each of the moves.

  1. What are your current exercise goals?

To improve my cardiovascular fitness and increase my muscle mass, to become stronger and keep my body free from injury.

  1. How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

Catching up with family & friends, I love getting out on the water with my stand-up paddle board, swimming and surfing with my husband. I really enjoy spending any of my free time by the ocean and of course Pilates and strength training.

  1. If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

It would have to be Hungarian Goulash. I grew up eating lots of Hungarian foods (both my parents are Hungarian), and this simple dish has it all, amazing flavour and a perfect balance of nutrition.
