Staff Spotlight: Prince

Posted on Monday, 30 November 2020

Prince has been part of the C-Life family for three years. He started as a gym floor staff member and has recently begun teaching group fitness classes. Prince specialises in body fat reduction and toning, functional training, sports-related training and conditioning, and strength and core training.

We asked him some questions so that you can get to know him better…(after weeks of nagging, we finally got his answers)

What made you get into health and fitness?

Exercise has always been part of my lifestyle from a young age. I wanted to turn something I am passionate about into a career and go to work doing something I enjoy.

Tell us about your position at C-Life and what is your favourite part of your job?

I work as a gym floor staff member and a group fitness instructor. My favourite part of the job is meeting and interacting with different personalities on the daily. Also, the flexibility that my job offers, as well as helping people achieve their fitness goals.

What can a client expect when they sign up to train with you?

Clients can expect a safe, effective, and personalised training program along with regular assessments to track their progress. Along with that, they get truthfulness, transparency, and my honesty no matter what.

Arthur used to be your high school P.E teacher. How was it going from having him as your teacher to your manager at C-Life?

Having Arthur as my P.E teacher was great as he made sure I didn’t fail. Although he is my manger, I’ve always seen him as a friend and someone that I look up too. This makes our working relationship enjoyable. His countless advice on life has been very helpful to me.

If the C-Life crew had to describe you in three words, what would they say?

Reserved/laid-back, sincere and honest.

What did you want to grow up to be when you were a kid?

Professional athlete (footballer).

You had the opportunity to travel to Italy to play against both Inter Milan & Juventus. Tell us about the experience.

One of the best experiences of my life ever. Not only did I get to experience the Italian culture, I was also able to test myself against elite level footballers. I travelled to different cities including Turin, Milan and Torino and got to live and breathe the professional footballer’s life. The only downside was not learning Italian whilst I was there.

When you are not working, what do you like doing on your days off?

Spending time with my friends and family, and catching up on more sleep.

What would you spend your last $20 on?

A good chicken schnitzel wrap and coffee.

How do you stay in shape?

I stay in shape by not over training, eating well most days and making sure I get enough rest to recover my body.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Never compare yourself to anyone.
