STAFF SPOTLIGHT: TINA
How long have you been working as a massage therapist, and what inspired you to pursue this career?
I have been a massage therapist for over 20 years. I didn’t love it at first and I found it very hard. One day, a client came back to thank me and told me how grateful he was for my massages as he had tremendous health improvements. This made me fall in love with this line of work, and I’m privileged and grateful that my clients are loyal and trustworthy.
What specific techniques or services do you offer, and how do they benefit your clients?
We offer various body massage techniques like acupuncture, cupping, relaxation, reflexology/foot massage, ear candling, combustion massage and much more! My massage helps my clients de-stress. These massage therapies provide pain relief, improved circulation, flexibility, and enhanced mental health and well-being. The health benefits are remarkable.
How do you tailor your massage sessions to meet the unique needs of each client?
I always talk to my clients and actively listen to their pain and issues that has brought them to me. I offer suggestions and options which would help me identify what their expectation is from me and what massage technique they expect and/or they would be comfortable with. So, my massage therapy is tailored to each client’s need by active listening, coupled with my extensive experience and understanding the body anatomy.
When you’re not helping others relax, what are some things you like to do to unwind from a busy day and recharge? Any self-care rituals you recommend?
When I’m not helping others relax, I love to read, go for a walk with my daughter and play some music for therapy. I do love doing local day trips with friends and family and exploring our beautiful country.
A very simple self-care ritual … drink warm water, your body will thank you.
