If you want to get in the best shape of your life, the first step is asking for help. Whether you have short or long-term objectives, a session with our passionate personal trainers will inspire, challenge and motivate you to achieve your goals.

Vince has been part of the C-Life family for over 13 years. Vince specialises in Strength & Definition, Weight Loss, Cardio Programming and Circuit Training.

We asked him some questions so that you can get to know him better.

Tell us about your position at C-Life and what is your favourite part of your job?

I am an all-rounder: Front Line Team Leader, Receptionist, Personal Trainer and Maintenance Coordinator. I love the challenges of bringing on clients and new memberships.

Have you had any other jobs/career paths before working in health & fitness?

Before C-Life I was working at other gyms for approximately 7 years, it was a great roller coaster ride. I also worked in marketing in other gyms in the inner city, which I did not enjoy as much. Before my career in health and fitness I was working as a contractor in the seafood industry. I was a fish filleting extraordinaire. Before that, I worked in food and beverage for several years. You can say I have been around the race track a few times.

What made you get into health & fitness?

I was looking outside the window for something different, a change of career. I wanted to stay healthy, I wanted to preserve my body with all the wear and tear from my previous jobs. Working in the seafood industry was starting to get very physically demanding. More or less, I was trying to upskill myself and try something new.

I know you live a fair distance away, tell us about why you enjoy coastal living?

I moved from Sydney and decided to live in the Central Coast about three and a half years ago. I was looking for greener pastures, a different atmosphere, especially raising a young child. I enjoy the beach, the fishing aspect, and the nice community. It was more beneficial for the family to live up there as well.

What are some tips you can offer for those lacking motivation?

I like to focus on people’s wellbeing, their healthier lifestyle, goal setting and achieving something. It can help mental issues as well as physical issues. Healthy for the mind as well as the body. Fitness gives people a way to de-stress and get on with the rest of their day with a better mindset.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

You must be happy within oneself and use that to overcome your inhibitions. You must be self-motivated to a degree and always have a positive attitude regardless of the outcome.

If the C-Life crew had to describe you in three words, what would they say?

Jovial, generous and knowledgeable

When you are not working, what do you like doing on your days off?

I concentrate on my son, he is 6. He takes up about 80% of my time off, which leaves 5% of time free time to play Mortal Kombat, the rest I spend with my family. Most of the time I am flat out, planning and thinking of the future.

What would you spend your last $20 on?

I would buy a lottery ticket. Win or lose I’d be happy with it.

Who’s your main on Mortal Kombat?

Kung Lao
